It's Friday!!

Whoo Hoo!! Don't have a whole lot going on this weekend! I have a couple of shoots and on Saturday night I am having some friends over for dinner. On Sunday we have our end of the year Hockey Party. I think that will be a blast!

Here is a photo from one of the shoots that I did this past weekend. As you can see she is a beautiful girl.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Octagon House

This past week I took the children to the Octagon House in Franklin, KY. Here is a photo I took while I was there. The grass was not this green but my son told me I needed to make it greener so thanks to this past Wednesday's seminar I was able to make it green instantly! I love photoshop. It is amazing what you can do. The other photo is my 14 year old and his girlfriend.

Today the children went back to school and I spent the whole day curled up on the couch watching TV. I love my "Do Nothing" Mondays! I didn't even put on make up which probably scared everyone at Office Max when I had to go and buy some ink for my printer! LOL...

It looks like Spring is finally arriving! I can't wait for the flowers to bloom and it to be warm. I plan on doing lots of outdoor photos and need to get some landscaping done! Does anyone know where I can find a section from an old fence? The more weather beaten the better!

Talk to you soon!

Happy Easter!!

Hi! I would like to wish all of you a very Happy Easter!! Don't eat too much chocolate!

Spring Break is finally coming to an end at our house. I will be sad to see them back in school but maybe I will have time to finally get some things done! We have been busy this week trying to do fun stuff. We went to Kentucky two days in a row, once to the Octagon House and the other to Kentucky Down Under. We had a good time both days.

Wednesday the studio was closed because I spent the whole day at a photoshop seminar! Wow! My head was spinning by the time I left but I learned some great tips and have lots of new ideas! One of the things I learned was how to make something look like it is painted on wood or stone. I have included the photo I was testing it on in the blog. Love to hear what you think! I learned alot of technical stuff about color correction and what nots. I think it was very well worth the time and the money!

I am also including a photo from a session I had this week. He is just too precious!

By the way, I am having a contest through my email list. If you are not on my email, you need to let me know so that I can add you!

Have a Blessed Easter,

Senior Shoot

Today I had a senior photo session. This is a composite I made of the shoot. If you book a senior photo session you receive a free 8x10 composite!

Tonight I have my four boys at home plus three others. I think I am in for a long night. Boys are strange creatures. Don't get me wrong, they are alot of fun...just really strange. Tonight they were all hanging out with me while I was editing photos and they found one of my clamps that I use to hang things. The clamp is really strong so they started clamping it all over themselves and yelping in pain! Who does this??? They thought it was hilarious...the more they suffered the harder they laughed! I believe they decided the nose was the most painful...just in case you were wondering!

It is now midnight and my eight year old is still up and hanging out with me. He has decided he wants to earn some money so he is "cleaning" my studio. ARGGHH!! If he wasn't so adorable I might have to kill him!

Well, I need to get this one to bed and check on what the others have destroyed! Have a great Sunday!

Hey all! I love rain but does it have to rain on every day that I schedule Senior photos??? I keep having to reschedule. I could just do them in the studio but I love the outdoor ones so much more. The kids are so much more relaxed and natural.

Speaking of relaxed, I photographed this couple today. They have been married almost four years and were so obviously still crazy about one another! I told them they were making me want to go upstairs and grab my husband! They were so very nice and alot of fun.

I am hoping to go to a photoshop seminar this coming Wednesday. Usually after these things I have to go home and take a nap. I can only take so much knowledge at one time. If anyone is interested in going it is at the Gaylord center...used to be the GEC but I cannot remember the new name.

SOMETHING NEW: I am going to start a "Giving Back" program. This is where I will donate six sessions a year to either familys that have lost everything in a flood, fire or other catastrophic event; familys with a terminally ill member; military family or charity events or organizations. If you know of anyone who may be needing this service, please contact me at 615-335-5529.

Well, that is all for now! Have a wonderful weekend!

I had an overwhelming response to my contest for the $50 gift certificate! Patricia Davis from Cottontown was the winner. Be sure and sign up on my email list if you would like to get my contest emails. I am definitely going to do that again soon! I will have to think of a way to make it more interesting. Maybe I will make it my tenth email or twentieth email?

What a wild day! My whole day was spent sitting and waiting! My husband had surgery on his arm this morning from where he fell and broke it in Costa Rica. He is doing fine and it does not seem to be bothering him too much. Of course I am keeping him doped up! LOL... THEN I had to spend forever in traffic school with Alex. Aside from the sitting I have been breaking up fights between the brothers all day. Whew! I am glad this day is ending. When I got home this evening I hid in my studio where I have been editing photos. I am trying to get caught up! Here are a couple of photos from one of my shoots this week....
