Hi Again!

Hi! I didn't think that I would be writing again this weekend but I wanted to share this photo. This is the daughter of a friend. She is the sweetest little thing and I would steal her today if I didn't think she may just grow up as quickly as mine all did. Have a wonderful Sunday...looks like rain...

April has Flown By!

Can you believe April is almost over? And with it goes another birthday. The buttercups have already gone and the time of the Iris is beginning. A great place for a location shot is the Iris Garden at the Ellington Agricultural Center. Give me a call if you want some photos shot there.

Our "new" dog is still with us. We had someone come by tonight to see if she belonged to them but she did not. I felt bad for them but have to admit I was a little happy that she was not their dog. I am getting quite attached to our Little Ruby.

I am very sleepy but I am scared to go to bed because my fourteen year old has several boys over here spending the night and I am afraid if I go to sleep I will awaken to some near catastrophe! They are not very concerned about destroying the house. Earlier I thought they would burn the house down when they decided to cook every single thing we had left in the home. They had food everywhere! Where do these boys put it all?

Thought I would share this photo with you. It is from a shoot I did about a week ago. This little one came in with his two brothers. They were much more willing to have a photo taken than mine were this past Christmas. No one even cried!

Have a great weekend. I think it may rain. Wah!! I will have to reschedule my Portraits by the Pond if it rains!

EEK!!

Okay, my week of "getting it done" was fairly successful but it seems that the more I get done the more there is to do. I have my studio looking pretty good but in cleaning it I have destroyed my storage area! I also need to get some things hung on the wall. I don't know why hanging things is so very hard for me to do...I just never seem to get them up!

Bad enough we pick up all the stray kids around *smile* but now a stray dog has found her way to our home. I was pretty upset about it at first but I think I am falling in love! I am calling her Ruby and I believe that she is mostly golden retriever. She is incredibly smart and sweet. The other day I was calling the kids in for dinner and she started herding them! She also stopped my pup Sophia when she escaped. I was chasing her and Ruby ran over and started nudging her my way. We have no idea where she belongs and she has no collar but I am sure someone must be frantically looking for her. I am going to call the vets tomorrow.

Here is a photo from a shoot I did last weekend. This is the same boy that is in the previous photo. He is adorable! His mom and dad are beautiful too. Am I a lucky photographer or what?

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Busy Busy Busy

Okay, this past week has been my week for "getting it done". I have been fairly successful. I have been continuing to pull my studio together and it is really starting to look like a big girl studio! I just got some more frames in that I will be stocking and they look nice on my shelf. There is still a small pile of junk that I must find a space for and then it is on to tackle the studio closet (or should I say studio closet of the abyss, missing and hiding). Goodness knows what I shall find there!

I did a shoot yesterday with little Amyx. He shared his first birthday with me and we had a great time. He was quite the trooper! He was very patient with me and what can I say? He is adorable! The outdoor shot is of him.

I am still working on the photos from today but I am posting one. I did the maternity photos for this little one's mom. I could not believe that he was already three months old. Where in the world does the time go???
Don't forget that the studio will be closed this coming Tuesday, April 15th.

Have a wonderful (yet cold) weekend and I will talk to you soon!

Mother's Day/Spring Special

Hi! I know it has been a while since I have signed on...I have just been so very busy!! I wanted to let all of you know about my new Mother's Day/Spring Special!!

It is so very beautiful outside and I will be doing PORTRAITS BY THE POND on April 26th and 27th. Bring your husband, kids, dogs, friends and whatever and have your portraits taken outside! Order within seven days and you will have them back by Mother's Day! This makes a great Mother's Day gift. Yet, even more importantly, it gives you the opportunity to just take a moment and pause your life. Remember the photos you will want to look at tomorrow you need to take today!

The cost for the session is on special for $75 and this includes two 5x7 photos (same pose). Book now as I expect to fill up very quickly!

More Studio News! I now have an assortment of square formatted frames. These are not as easy to find as the traditional sizes so I decided to stock some for your photos.

I also have assorted photo jewelry that is beautiful. Be sure and ask to see them!

I will be closing the studio on Tuesday, April 15th. I am going to a seminar for the Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation. I am so excited and humbled to be a part of this organization. I will let you know how it goes!

This week I am including a photo of a little girl that I photographed in Costa Rica and also of a young lady who I photographed by the pond. Remember you could have one of these Portraits by the Pond too!
